The World Mediation Organization (WMO) - formerly known as World-Mediation-Centre -  is glad to welcome a further leading expert in the field of Conflict Prevention and Resolution as District Manager - Halifax, Canada. Dr. Marshall WM. Conley is the author of more than 140 publications and professional papers. He was a former Senior Professor of Human Rights and Peace Studies at Acadia University, Nova Scotia, Canada until 2000. He is currently President of Conley-International Education Consultants.

He has developed training programs for governments, international organization and non-governmental organizations in 30 countries. He has administered projects in 21 African countries and designed and conducted training in a variety of venues from Africa, Europe, Asia and North America on subjects ranging from security for UN Peacekeepers, Training of Trainers, rebuilding war-torn societies, DDR, Early Warning, African Union Senior Police Commanders courses, UNIMID (Darfur) pre-deployment training, Democratic Development and Governance, Pre-deployment Training, citizenship development, human rights reporting and teaching, to ethical and rights issues related to the human genome.

He is the author of three current on-line courses: “Security for United Nations Peacekeepers” (Peace Operations Training Institute - www.peaceopstraining.org/); “Conflict Analysis and the Nature of Conflict in Africa” (PATRIR - Peace Action, Training and Research Institute of Romania - www.patrir.ro/); and “Early Warning and Early Response and Contemporary Peace Operations – EWER – www.patrir.ro). 

The WMO and Dr. Conley plan to spread the WMO Training Program in a very special way. Further outstanding specialists, such as  Commander Diego Mendieta, will join a bilingual team of instructors.
