The World Mediation Organization (WMO) - formerly known as World-Mediation-Centre - welcomes Colonel (Ret) David Caceres, M.Sc. as District Manager in Lima, Peru. Mr. Caceres is an outstanding professional in the field of Peace and Security Development, dedicated the last decade on communicating his knowledge to participants of UN professional training courses, and owns a wide range of expertise in project management of international development projects related to knowledge management and capacity building in multinational and multicultural environments in Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia.
Asking him about his vision and targets regarding the current cooperation: "I found WMC courses content not only interesting but necessary for implementing and in some cases complementing mediators' knowledge with useful tools for conceptualizing, analyzing and further solving ever demanding conflicts in a variety of cases, scenarios and environments.
My strategy for implementing WMO courses and certifications is to reach partner universities, governmental agencies and NGOs, in order to blend mediation courses and eventually merge some syllabi topics into their program courses, so we (WMO and partners) could benefit on the final learning outcome which is mediating and solving our society conflicts, contributing with the global peace and development."
Further, he answered that a main focus should be placed on spreading the social competence which is provided by the WMC-Training in South-America. At this point it shall be helpful that the current WMO-Certificate Course is also offered in Spanish language.
