The WMO and the Israeli Center of Negotiation (ICON) Launch New Collaboration
The World Mediation Organization (WMO) and the Israeli Center of Negotiation (ICON) is proud to announce their new collaboration to deliver high-quality trainings on conflict management and mediation.
ICON is an Israel-based nonprofit established by Moty Cristal that disseminates the culture of negotiation and the concept of negotiation as a profession among individuals and organizations worldwide. Marking 50 years of established diplomatic relations between Israel and Germany, ICON will serve as the regional representative of the Berlin-based WMO in Tel Aviv – pursuing their mutual goals through delivering face-to-face conflict management and mediation trainings to students and young professionals in the region, and offering online internships and professional support to those who wish to develop a career in these fields.
ICON’s strong presence and experience in both the academic and operational arenas, jointly with the global reach and diverse knowledge resources of the WMO will create endless opportunities for both organizations, the networks within which they operate, and for the professionals they serve.
As a first step in materializing this collaboration, Moty Cristal, a leading Israeli negotiator, will present his unique conceptual framework for choosing international mediators by rival parties during the June WMO Symposium in Berlin.
