Report on WNR 2014:
The 2014 Warsaw Negotiation Round successfully ended on April, 7th, 2014. The team from the Toronto University won this years prize after a duel with their counterpart from Artic University of Norway. It was the 4th event organized in Warsaw and well attended by 12 university teams from different regions of the world. The jury was set up of an expert team from Oxford University, Harvard University, Cranfield University, and the World Mediation Organization / Euclid University. The Warsaw Negotiation Round is the first international competition for students of leading law and business schools all over the world. During the 3-day event, participants took part in realistic business scenarios created by specialists. This was aimed to helping the participants improve their negotiation knowledge and skills. The negotiation competition / rounds were judged and supervised by the international jury. The tournament was well organized and the students showed eagerness to learn more and improve their negotiating styles. In addition, the organizers have agreed to various advises from the expert jury, not only to invite more institutions next year, but also to improve the quality of the competition. The closing ceremony was addressed by the Hon. Speaker of the Polish House of Senate, who also awarded the winners and participants with symbolic certificates of participation. End. - Dr. Emmy Godwin.
